Lotus Elan bodywork restoration
After a gruelling time spent removing 7 (seven) layers of poor paintwork the team
repaired and painstakingly re-tissued the entire car before a gel coat skim. With
a solid foundation the bodywork was straightened and all panels aligned. After two
primes coats and a further fine straightening the car was ready for the perfect white
paint to original Lotus specification. The careful rebuild, replacing and refurbishing
parts where needed, puts the finishing touches to the restoration. Suffice to say
there were a few tears when she finally left Bristol Avenue!!
